Eucharist

What we believe about the Eucharist?

The Eucharist is called "the source and summit of the Christian Life." It is central the Catholic belief and practice. Jesus instituted the Eucharist at the Last Supper. After Jesus took the bread and said the blessing, he gave it to His disciples and He said, "This is my body which is given for you; do this in memory of me." (Luke 22:19)

The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. (CCC 1324)
