Diocese of Little Rock Safe Environment Program

Our children and youth are our most precious gifts, for they truly are the future of our families, our communities, and our Church. The Bishop of the Diocese of Little Rock is ultimately responsible for overseeing and ensuring proper implementation of the Diocesan Safe Environment Program, which seeks to create and maintain safe environments for all of our children and youth.

The Diocese of Little Rock is using CMG Connect - Safe Environment Program as of July 1, 2017, which replaced the VIRTUS Protecting God's Children Program.

Here are the changes to requirements to do Safe Environment Training and background checks. The following adults will be required to do online Safe Environment training and have a background check every five years:

  1. All employees of the diocese, parishes and schools.
  2. All volunteers who have routine contact with minors as an essential part of their regular volunteering duties.

Online instructions: go to http://www.dolr.org/safe-environment to complete your safe environment requirements. Contact Brandi Noval, DRE, for more information.
