Dominican Sisters - Immaculate Conception Providence
Teaching, Evangelization, Health Care
Our Foundation
We are a contemplative/active Congregation of Sister of St. Dominic founded in Poland by Mother Columba Bialecka in 1861. She was inspired by St. Dominic's ideal to combine the personal experience of God with the ministry of education and care for those in need.
Today we carry on the apostolic mission of our Foundress in eight countries (since 1928 in the USA) by educating in faith children and adults, taking care of the sick and elderly, and by providing parishes with various ministries.
We offer ourselves completely to Jesus through the vows of chastity, poverty, obedience; living a life, sharing common prayer, study, and service.
