As part of the Dominican Order, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Dominic was founded in Poland by Mother Kolumba Białeck in 1861. She was inspired by St. Dominic's idea to combine the personal experience of God with the ministry of education and care for those in need.
Today we carry on the apostolic mission of our Foundress in eight countries (since 1928 in the United States) by educating children and adults in the faith; taking care of the sick and elderly; and by providing parishes with various ministries.
We offer ourselves completely to Jesus through the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience; and living a life of shared common prayer, study, and service.
Sister Santina, Sister Klaudia, and Sister Irmina
We serve by helping others; by visiting the hospital, nursing homes, and the home-bound; and by providing the Holy Eucharist. We also take care of linens and decorations in Church.
